Andrea Pinabell has spent her 25+ year career working to create a regenerative, resilient & sustainable planet. A collaborative, partnership-driven and people-focused executive with consistent and proven success in developing, growing, and leading teams and organizations. A known change-agent that meets people “where they are at” to integrate holistic and strategic approaches and aligned goals with the lens of environmental, socially conscious and risk mitigation, moving companies in the direction to be more purpose-driven, sustainable, resilient, and equitable. Globally experienced and recognized ESG leader underpinned by innovation, climate change, a regenerative economy, and social impact.
Currently, Andrea is the Founder and CEO of AC Impact Advisors which AC Impact Advisors is a boutique advisory firm assisting businesses, foundations and individuals with cultivating and implementing holistic ESG strategies, partnerships and programs. Prior to this, she served as the President of Southface Institute, an Atlanta-based nonprofit that advances a regenerative future including healthy communities, resource efficiency and clean energy solutions at the intersection of the built and natural environments. Prior to joining Southface, she served as the Vice President of Sustainability, Global Citizenship at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., where she led the strategy, operations and integration for Starwood’s global sustainability programs and its related philanthropic efforts including its goals to achieve 30% reduction of energy and carbon and 20% reduction of water by 2020. Andrea also served as the Director of the Sustainable Cities Institute & Program Manager of Sustainable Community Development with The Home Depot Foundation.
She currently serves on several boards and advisory council’s including the GA Tech’s Strategic Energy Institute as well as the Ray C Anderson Center for Sustainable Business, Lime Rock New Energy, Greenhouse Accelerator/GA Sustainability & Climate Innovation Center, as well as the 2030 Districts and Center for Responsible Travel. She has been honored with multiple awards, including being among Georgia Trend magazine’s 2020 notable Georgians, the 500 Most Powerful Atlanta Leaders in 2020, 21 and 22 from Atlanta Magazine, a 2018 Energy Leader 75, and Smart CEO Magazine’s 2015 Award honoring visionary leadership in the commercial real estate industry. An Iowa native and Chemical Engineer from Iowa State University, she is a proud mother to Anthony and dog mother to Teddy.
